Requesting deletion
If you have a Zintekz account, or have connected an Instagram or other supported account to our Services, you may request deletion of your information by emailing privacy@zintekz.co.nz.
Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant account, such as your account email address, business name or connected Instagram username.
Please do not send us your Instagram password, Meta password, access token or other account credentials.
What we will delete
Subject to legal and technical requirements, a valid deletion request may include deletion of:
- your Zintekz account information;
- connected social-media account identifiers and stored authorisation information;
- stored conversation and message data;
- stored comments and interaction data;
- stored content or analytics associated with the account;
- AI-related conversation history retained by Zintekz; and
- other personal information associated with your account.
Where technically appropriate, information may instead be permanently de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
Disconnecting Meta or Instagram
You may also revoke Zintekz's access to your Instagram or Meta account through the account, application or integration settings provided by Meta — for example, in Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
Revoking access stops future authorised access but may not automatically delete information already stored by Zintekz. If you also want stored information deleted, please submit a deletion request using the process above.
Processing time
We will acknowledge valid deletion requests and process them as soon as reasonably practicable.
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days, unless additional time is reasonably required because of legal, security, backup or technical obligations.
We may retain limited information where required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud or abuse, or maintain security.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backup systems until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of business.
Meta data-deletion requests
Where Meta sends Zintekz a valid data-deletion request through an authorised callback or integration, our systems will process the request in accordance with Meta's platform requirements and our Privacy Policy.
